Role of Plastics as a Driver of Economic Growth Post-Pandemic

The Covid-19 pandemic has driven the plastics industry in Indonesia to renew its commitment to sustainability for future economic growth. Together with our industry experts from The Indonesian Olefin, Aromatic and Plastic Industry Association, Digital Waste Solution, Unilever Indonesia and the Indonesian Environmental Scientist Association, we organised INDOPLAS’s first webinar on 19 August 2020. The webinar provided insights on new plastic waste management initiatives and contributions of the plastic packaging sector towards creating a Circular Economy. The speakers also shared their observations and recommendations on viable actions that plastics businesses can adopt for the industry to remain sustainable and beneficial for consumers in the era of innovation.
